Rev. Fred Adams
Rev. Fred Adams is an elder and the Church Administrator at The Rock Church and World Outreach Center. He is also an instructor in The Rock Bible College. He has served the body of Christ in ministry for the past twenty years as a teacher and singles pastor. Fred has a bachelor degree in Science and Business Administration from California Baptist University. He is a valued teacher in the School of Ministry.
Pastor Joel Alvarado
I am married to my beautiful wife of nineteen years Joanna, an amazing woman of God who has an extraordinary gift of loving people. I have five kids, all gifts from God. Jacob, Colton, Julia, Janae and Jeneva. I grew up in the church. The son of a Pastor who happened to marry a Pastor’s daughter. There’s eighty five years of ministry legacy behind us! I went to Grace Bible Institute in the City of Long Beach, CA. Have service in leadership for youth and men’s ministry and outreach teams and as an Associate Pastor. I have worked with mission organizations in Nicaragua and P.A.R.A church ministries such as Youth with a Mission and Mercy Ships International. I worked along side Hispanic ministries (Hispanic Association of Bilingual Bicultural Ministries) and faith-based organizations that helped with national Latino causes with various Spanish denominations. I am a graduate of The Rock Bible College.
Pastor David Archibeck
Pastor David gave his heart to the Lord 22 years ago. Shortly after, he accepted the call on his life and has served as a young adult singles pastor, worship leader, and traveling music minister. He graduated from Rhema Bible Training Center, Oklahoma, in 1989. He and his wife recorded and released a music CD, and has been leading worship for over 15 years. He is has been happily married since 1996 and has two children. Pastor David has been serving at The Rock Church now since 2003. He is responsible for all the music in all the main services, training and raising up worship leaders on the music team, and teaches in the School of Ministry at The Rock Church.
Pastor Tom Barkey, Ph.D.
Pastor Tom Barkey, Ph.D. has made a lifelong study on the subject of grace and has authored more than twelve books on the subject. After more than 25 years as a senior pastor his primary passion remains to communicate that God is on your side. Dr. Barkey and his wife, Suzette, have recently founded Church of Grace, a Spirit-filled church in Yorba Linda, California, where he is Senior Pastor. Dr. Barkey holds a Masters degree in Biblical Studies, a Doctorate in Ministry and a Ph.D. in Religious Studies.
Dr. Hendrick Becker
Dr. Hendrik started his fulltime ministry career in 1984. He graduated from the Apostolic Faith Mission Theological Seminary in South Africa, and earned his Masters degree from Regent University in Virginia Beach, Virginia. He finished Advanced Leadership Studies through the Southern Baptist Convention in Virginia and was awarded a Doctor of Divinity from Providence Bible College and Theological Seminary in Norfolk, Virginia. He served as Senior Pastor in churches in South Africa and the USA, and is serving as Associate Pastor at The Rock Church and World Outreach Center, responsible for Pastoral Care and Small Group Ministry. His wife Eleanor is serving by his side in ministry, and he has three children who all serve God.
Pastor Eleanor Becker
Born and raised in sunny South Africa, my husband and I moved to the States with our three awesome kids, Yolandie, Niel, and Heinz, almost 20 years ago. Growing up in church, loving the Lord, little did I know I would be called to full time ministry on the other side of the globe. After Hennie completed seminary in South Africa, we permanently left our home and began serving the body of Christ on the east coast in Norfolk, Virginia. Through many years of ministry God has truly developed in me a heart for women and a testimony of the gracious power of restoration God offers us in our time of deepest need and brokenness. While in Virginia I oversaw women’s ministry and helped my husband plant a new church into which we poured our lives and love.
Several years ago, God again called our family away to a new home, the Inland Empire and the Rock Church. I am passionate about seeing transformed lives and equipping women to reach their world with God’s beauty and goodness. In addition, my husband and I have a zeal for healthy relationships and enjoy building the house of God by building God’s people. Serving and loving the Inland Empire has brought so much joy to my life. I look forward to seeing what God is going to do today and in the future.
Pastor Mike Bryan
Pastor Mike Bryan is the Senior Children’s Pastor. He oversees the children’s ministry at The Rock Church with his wife Sue. Mike has been in full-time ministry since 1985 and has served as a missionary, evangelist, and pastor. He is a graduate of Rhema Bible Training Center in Oklahoma.
Pastor Sue Bryan
Pastor Sue Bryan oversees the children’s ministry at The Rock Church with her husband Mike. Sue has been in ministry in full-time ministry since 1985 and has served as a missionary, evangelist, teacher, and pastor. She is a graduate of Pepperdine University, California, and is also a graduate of Rhema Bible Training Center in Oklahoma.
Pastor Deborah Cobrae
Pastor Deborah Cobrae is the wife of Jim Cobrae, mother of four children, Miranda, Kimberlee, Jessica and Luke, and the grandmother of many wonderful grandchildren. Deborah has labored alongside her husband as they together Pastor one of the fastest growing churches in Southern California; The Rock Church and World Outreach Center.
Throughout years of ministry, marriage, and motherhood, Deborah has learned important lessons in becoming a disciple of Jesus Christ, walking in His faith, working by His grace, and touching lives with His love. Her commitment to serve the Lord and wear any "hat" He gives her to put on has led her to preach in other nations, the inner city, and prisons. Through positive insights, Deborah’s dynamic and practical teaching on God’s word will equip you with the "how to" on living right in a world gone wrong.
Pastor Jim Cobrae
Pastor Jim Cobrae is a dynamic man of God who has been in the Lord’s service for over 25 years. He is the founder and Senior Pastor of one of the largest and fastest growing churches in the United States, The Rock Church & World Outreach Center. Pastor Jim’s wonderful sense of humor and powerful teachings will inspire and instruct you in Kingdom principles for victorious living. His practical and honest teaching has assisted thousands in coming to Jesus Christ and seeing their lives changed. Pastor Jim Cobrae shares both life and ministry with his wife Deborah. He has four children and many wonderful grandchildren.
Rev. Michael Espinosa, Sr.
Rev. Michael Espinosa is a member of the Board of Directors of The Rock Church and World Outreach Center. He is also an instructor in The Rock Bible College. Michael is a graduate in Ministerial Studies from the National Outreach Bible Institute (NOBI). Michael has served the body of Christ for over 20 years in various ministry capacities, including singles and youth ministries.
Pastor Tom Flores
Pastor Tom Flores is the Elementary Pastor (grades 2-6) at The Rock Church and World Outreach Center which presently has an attendance of over 1000 elementary children each week. Pastor Tom has been serving in church ministry for over 19 years and is a graduate of The Rock Bible College. He joined the Children’s Ministry staff full-time in 2004. He is also the Music Director and the director of Creative Communications for the Children’s Ministry at The Rock. He is a devoted husband and father to his three boys and is also a licensed nurse.
Dr. Berin Gilfillan
Dr. Berin Gilfillan holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan, a Master’s degree in Communication from Regent University (formerly CBN University), and a Doctor of Ministry Degree from Vision International University. Berin also studied missions and church planting for two years at Fuller Theological Seminary. In 1985, Berin married his wife, Lisa, and they have three children. Berin and Lisa worked from 1986-89 with the ministry of German evangelist Reinhard Bonnke. In 1991, they started the missionary ministry of Good Shepherd Ministries, International. From 1992-94, the Gilfillan family were missionaries in the country of Nigeria. There they started 140 video Bible schools and also pioneered a successful preschool. Since 1994, Good Shepherd Ministries, International has been developing the International School of Ministry (ISOM), a project sometimes referred to as "the training equivalent of the Jesus movie".
Rev. Lisa Gilfillan
Rev. Lisa Gilfillan is a missionary and teacher who has been an ordained minister for 25 years. Together with her husband, Berin, she spearheads Good Shepherd Ministries, International, the goal of which is to turn every local church into a training center. She served as an associate pastor in several churches, and began a pre-school in Nigeria which now educates children through junior high age.
Dr. Steve Kobernik
Dr. Kobernik is an instructor at The Rock Bible College. He has his Masters of Divinity from Azusa Pacific, and his Doctorate in theology with an emphasis in church growth from Fuller Theological Seminary. Dr. Kobernik served in ministry as a United Methodist pastor for 13 years, as an instructor in Greek and Hebrew at Fuller Seminary, and as a church growth consultant for traveling evangelists.
Dr. Paul Ogando
He is the Pastor of the Spanish Ministry at The Rock Church and World Outreach Center (Iglesia la Roca), as well as Director of The Rock Bible College (TRBC).
He was born and raised in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, a Spanish-speaking country in the Caribbean, where he studied at the University of Santo Domingo (UASD) to become a Dentist, subsequently practicing dentistry for about 3 years.
He moved to San Bernardino in 2004 when he accepted a position at the International School of Ministry (ISOM, of Good Shepherd Ministries International), Where he had earned an Associate Degree in Biblical Studies through Vision University. This move led him to The Rock.
Rev. Larry Reynolds
Larry Reynolds is the Founder and President of Reynolds Sports Management. With over 20 years of experience and an impeccable reputation, he is regarded as one of the top baseball agents in the country. A graduate from Corvallis High School in Oregon, Larry was a three-sport star in football, baseball, and basketball. He went on to receive a two-sport scholarship from Stanford University where he graduated in 1979 with a Bachelors degree in Psychology.
Larry has been a Christian for over 35 years as he grew up in a Christian home which was heavily influenced by his Mother and Grandmother. He has been a member of the Rock Church and World Outreach Center since 1998 and was ordained and became Reverend Larry Reynolds in October of 2007. While at the Rock he has served on the Church’s Board of Directors and in various capacities, including the Married Couples Ministry. He has 15 years of Biblical and Clinical counseling experience. Most of his counseling experience is in the area of Marital Counsel and Financial Planning, with an emphasis on biblical principles.
He currently lives in Riverside, California with his wife Dr. Vanessa Reynolds and their three children, Jared, Jenna and Justin.
Dr. Vanessa Reynolds
Dr. Vanessa Reynolds has practiced Emergency Medicine at Kaiser Hospital in Fontana for the last 19 years and currently works there part time. She obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology at Stanford University. She wanted to be an Emergency Physician and completed a 3 year residency at East Carolina University in Greenville, North Carolina, after getting her M.D. from Tufts School of Medicine in Boston, MA in 1985.
Dr. Vanessa as she is called by her pastor and church members accepted Christ at the age of 12. She has worked with her husband in youth and marital counseling, and as married couple’s ministry leaders. She has been to Tanzania, Africa as well as the Philippines teaching the word and various health issues to women, and is a teacher in Women of the World Ministries, International School of Ministry. She has been a member of the Rock Church and World Outreach Center for many years where she ministers in the Women’s Ministry and at conferences providing unique insight into women’s health, marriage and family issues.
Pastor Dan Roth
Pastor Dan Roth oversees the Young Adults Dept. of the Rock Church. Together with his wife Jessica they also run the Friday night service for young adults called Shift. Dan has an Associates Degree in Music and graduated from Rhema Bible Training Center in Tulsa, OK. He has served as a worship leader, youth leader and has traveled on missions around the world. Dan enjoys teaching and preaching the Word and has a passion to empower others for the work of the ministry.
Pastor Dave Simmons
Pastor Dave Simmons is a husband and the father of three children. He has a passion to see every Christian identify with who they are in Christ Jesus. He has served as a youth minister for seven years in addition to several other ministry positions. Dave is an associate Pastor at the Rock Church and World Outreach Center, where his primary focus is on developing Spiritual Personal Trainers (SPT). Dave is a graduate of The Rock Bible College.
Pastor Richard Villanueva
Pastor Richard Villanueva is a happy husband and soon to be father. Together with his wife, he has pastored in the youth ministry here at The Rock since 2004 in both associate and senior youth pastoral positions. A graduate of The Rock Bible College, he has been an active part of The Rock Church since 1996. His passion and desire is to see the next generation of young people rise up and bring God’s kingdom into their world.
